To quote Maria: "If you're too good for Britney and Christina, then you're too good for me."

-----

I think a lot of people are getting wrong ideas about me.

I mean, that's always happened, but here's the current reasons I've been feeling that way.

I've started using A.I.M. to talk to people again, which means I've been talking to a lot of people I haven't talked to in a long time. I have a picture of Britney Spears as my Buddy Icon. So far, almost every person has laughed at that and complimented me on my joke.

The thing is; it's not a joke.

I have a picture of Britney there because I like Britney. I listen to her all the time. I think she's great. Why's that so hard to handle?

What makes her so different from any of the other music I listen to? Is it just because she's labelled as "pop"?

If you're going to lump pop musicians into one generalized emotional frame, then I have a few things to say to you:

-----"Electronic music just has no SOUL."

-----"Jazz just reminds me of my grandparents."

-----"The guitar is just an extension of the penis."

-----"Classical music is BORING."

-----"Experimental music? Isn't that like, recordings of people burping?"

Pop music is just as valid as any other form of music.

I'm sorry I adopted a hostile tone. Y'all are still my friends and I still love you.

just shut up yr stupid faces
